. . . not that long ago, the compost heap lived here under this fir tree. Thanks to the amazing work of David + Megan this past weekend, the compost heap has been rehomed + repurposed to the beds around the ranch house. All that remains is for me to take these branches to the chipper at Lazy J’s. Which I will happily do, once the 35MPH winds die down. It’s been so windy here that I half expect to open up the door to find everything in Technicolor and a yellow brick road outside.

Last night I held her and sort of smooshed back her bangs so she could see (that lasted all of about 4 minutes). The girl definitely needs a trim.
