Sadie Murata is 11. Sadie Bug, as she’s affectionately known, was diagnosed with Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma in February 2011, was in remission for 2 years, but recently relapsed. Before heading to Philadelphia for chemo and proton radiation therapy, Sadie, together with The Truth 365, filmed this wonderful piece with her classmates about living life to the fullest:

I’m honored to say Sadie is one of Iolanthe’s Kids (you can see her modeling her hat out of Summer’s fiber at the link). Sadie is the first recipient of one of our cuddling alpaca dolls, which I designed with a lovely etsy artist named Tiffany (details to follow). We, of course, had to use ladybug fabric for Sadie’s alpaca and I’m pleased to report Sadie loved hers. 😉
