Iolanthe’s Kids: Vara

Vara is almost 11 and fighting a Stage 3 Wilms Tumor relapse. She was originally diagnosed at age 9 and in remission for 9 months before relapse was caught in a routine scan. Special thanks to Scott Dobek for the awesome custom keychain; and to Deb and Nancy for the stuffed animal llama (Vara loves animals) who’s getting major cuddles.

In addition to fighting cancer, this superhero is also one of The Truth 365’s awesome SpokesKids.

Iolanthe’s Kids: Sarina

Meet Iolanthe’s newest kid: Sarina!

In 2017 Sarina was diagnosed with High Risk AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). She has been battling with an extremely difficult treatment schedule which has required her to stay in the hospital up to 6 weeks at a time. Sarina had a BMT (bone marrow transplant) in September and has just finished a very difficult 100 day recovery process. She is hoping to start University soon and we wish her all the best! Her Mom said she loved her goodybox and sent us these gorgeous photos of Sarina wearing her hat.

We learned about Sarina via The Truth 365 while working with her Mom, Karen, on her Child of the Day post — you can read more about Sarina here.
