Iolanthe’s Kids: Delainee

Sweet little Delainee has Leukemia. Her Mom, Teresa, wrote to me and said that last Fall their family had visited a local alpaca farm on a family outing and it was wonderful, and she wondered if we would send Delainee a goodybox (of course the answer was yes!)

Teresa sent us this wonderful photo collage with this note: “Here are some pictures to share of Miss Delainee and her goodybox. She loved it! And is enjoying the tissue paper and box too Lol. “Wrapping presents for her baby sister” — she was very excited to go thru it and find the treasures. Thank you so much for what you do to bring smiles and awareness to our warriors.” Teresa

Update 7/3/2015: Please watch this wonderful interview with Delainee:

Childhood cancer is expensive. Together we can all help lighten the burden.

It is such an honor to get to do this project, I definitely do not do it alone and need to give credit where credit is due: The baby alpaca fiber for Delainee’s hat was spun by Bridget, knit by Ann, and from our sweet little boy, Bingley; to Scott for the wonderful custom keychain; and to everyone who is supporting this project, thank you. xo, M

Iolanthe’s Kids: Willow

This is Willow. Her Mom, Alyssa, writes: “Willow wearing her wonderful new Alpaca hat*, sent from Iolanthe Alpaca Ranch! She has always had a fondness for llamas, so this was perfect for her. โ™กโ™ก” Willow is fighting a rare cancer called Undifferentiated Sarcoma. You can follow Willow’s story and become one of her warriors by joining Willow’s Warriors on Facebook.

* Spun and knit by Janice, this wonderful hat has an owl pattern with sweet little buttons for eyes. Fiber by our little Harmony ๐Ÿ˜‰
